Why we built it

Small professional firms quote first, then invoice in stages, pass on disbursements and chase payment by hand. Accounting suites can do this, but they are expensive and slow to learn. Templates are free but easy to get wrong.

For a busy surveying and design practice, every week means fee proposals, signed acceptances, deposit invoices and reminders. Invoice Universe is the tool we wanted: one record from quote to paid, priced for a sole trader, and simple enough to learn in an afternoon.
